Embracing modern technologies through innovation and digitization
To help bolster students’ training in ICT at their early stages of education, His Excellency Governor (Dr.) Moses Kiarie Badilisha this afternoon joined other leaders in a colorful and successful programme aimed at supporting Karagoine Secondary school establish a modern ICT laboratory.
Underscoring the importance of embracing modern technologies through innovation and digitization, Governor Badilisha said that exposing learners to ICT at the early age of their training helps create a “digitally creative generation that will lead in innovation and provision of solutions to the nation, as well as developing a cadre of trainees who are trained to be not just employees but employment creators.”
On local development, the Governor thanked the leaders present for their cooperation in ensuring that earmarked projects are seamlessly implemented while ensuring that “our projects address the felt needs of the people. And that’s why this Leshau Karagoine water project benefitted from the County Government covering over 20kms in order to improve on reticulation. On health, we are upgrading both Baari Health Center and Kahembe dispensary – in Kiriita ward, as well as lighting up our towns for 24-hour economy. I have also ensured that a doctor is posted to a Ndaragwa facility to handle specialized cases.”
Further, the County Head pledged to upscale the war against alcoholism adding that no bars will be licensed in residential areas. He also added that his government is fully seized of the draught situation in some parts of lower Ndaragwa and is liasing with other stakeholders to find an immediate and long term solution.
