Development tour across the county

His Excellency Governor (Dr.) Moses Kiarie Badilisha has visited several projects in Karau ward where he has encouraged residents to adopt agricultural crops and practices that are climate-resilient and attract high returns.

Governor Badilisha visited Kianda water project, several road projects in Mawingu, and later interacted with youth and women groups in Kagaa where he issued empowerment equipment.

“This is your government; it will walk hand in hand with you as we actualize your aspirations and implement a transformation agenda for our people. And even as we mitigate climate change effects, please take up climate resilient crops and other agriculture ventures that are high yielding like cultivation of Markies potatoes, pyrethrum and improved dairy farming,” the County Head told residents.

In this financial year, absorption of county development budget has hit an all time high with last figures in May indicating an unprecedented 81% implementation of the earmarked projects.

He was accompanied by CECMs Hon. John Muiru, Hon. Cecilia Kirira and Hon. Catherine Gitau and area MCA Hon. Daniel Gitau among a host of other leaders.
