His Excellency Governor (Dr.) Moses Kiarie Badilisha has called for speedy completion of the county headquarters adding that the delays continue to impede effective service delivery “while at the same time fluctuating costs of materials and labour have over time negatively impacted on the overall project cost.”
Governor Badilisha was speaking during a joint meeting between the Senate and four counties (Nyandarua, Lamu, Isiolo and Tharaka Nithi) whose headquarters were jointly funded between the national government and the devolved units.
“Let us set ourselves to having the residents of these counties – especially the people of Nyandarua who have historical grievances over their headquarters, now benefit with what they can confidently call their own,” the Governor stated.
