Lands
The Lands Directorate aims to ensure efficient land administration, sustainable land use, and responsible land management practices within the county. Its mandate includes land administration, land use planning, survey and mapping, land acquisition and allocation, land policy development, land valuation and property taxation, and provision of land information and public services.
Physical Planning
The Physical Planning Directorate aims to ensure effective and sustainable physical planning within the county. Its mandate includes land use planning, development control, urban and rural development, environmental planning, infrastructure planning, spatial data management, strategic planning, and public participation.
Urban Development
The establishment of an Urban Development directorate reflects the recognition of the importance of planned and sustainable urbanization. Its role and mandate include urban planning and design, infrastructure development, housing and slum upgrading, land use management, urban renewal and regeneration, economic development and investment promotion, traffic and transportation planning, environmental sustainability, and public participation.
