Eng. Peter M Karanja - Chief Officers - Roads and Transport

Eng. Peter M Karanja hails from Mihuti village in Kaimbaga Ward, Olkalou Subcounty. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology from Egerton University, a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the National Youth Service Engineering Institute, and an MBA in Strategic Management from Laikipia University.

His career spans various roles: as Senior Technical Instructor at the Kenya Defence Forces Corp of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, overseeing workshops and training; as Infrastructure Development Engineer at Kenya Electricity Generating Company PLC, leading geothermal drilling and power development projects; and as Senior Strategy Officer at KenGen, coordinating corporate business performance, GoK perfomance contracting and strategy development and alignment.

He serves as a Council Member of the Institution of Engineering Technologists and Technicians of Kenya, and is the Charter President, Lions Club of Nyandarua. Additionally, he is serving in various secondary schools Boards of Management, showcasing his leadership and commitment to community service.

With over a decade of experience and visionary leadership, Eng. Karanja is poised to drive remarkable progress in Nyandarua’s infrastructure.
