A delegation drawn from the Ministry of Education and Commision for University Education has  paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Governor (Dr.) Moses Kiarie Badilisha. This meeting was to follow up on some of the issues and resolutions agreed during the last meeting between the County Head and Cabinet Secretary for Education, Hon. Ezekiel Machogu, on establishment of Nyandarua University.
The team, joined by the Nyandarua County University Technical Committee members, will visit some of the proposed sites and assess existing infrastructure as well as align set objectives – as contained in the university blueprint, against available resources. “We have agreed with all our elected Members of Parliament on the need to fully own this process and equally pool resources to have this university project kick-off, and it will happen,” Governor Badilisha assured the team.
The delegation was led by Prof. Urbanus Mutuiwa of CUE, and Isaac Gathirwa of the Ministry of Education, both in charge of institutional accreditation in their respective organizations.
