His Excellency Governor (Dr.) Moses N. Badilisha Kiarie has embarked on training of co-operative societies to bolster their growth and expansion.
Speaking during the Annual General Meeting of the Aberdare Sacco Society Limited at Catholic Church Hall in Gathara Ward, Kinangop Sub-County, Chief Officer for Co-operatives Development Mr. David Njoroge said the Governor’s intervention flows from his recognition of the sector’s contribution to Nyandarua’s development.
The Governor’s other interventions for Nyandarua’s vibrant co-operative movement include the upcoming enhanced Artificial Insemination (A.I) program, free super Napier grass and subsidized fertilizer, all geared at maximizing agricultural production in each of the County’s 25 wards.
Aberdare Sacco Society Limited boasts of 7,287 members and an asset base of KShs. 3.2 million, backed by several branches.
