According to Chief Officer for Co-operatives Development Mr David Njoroge, the Governor’s decision is out of the recognition that both struggling and established societies have a role to play in his transformative agenda for Nyandarua’s agricultural value chains as per his CHANGE Manifesto.

Residents, he added, should become ambassadors of indigenous co-operative societies, since they are basic units for mapping farmers’ needs and channelling the required support, including infrastructure.

Mr Njoroge was speaking during a training for prospective members of the Ol’Kalou Dairy Co-operative Society in Tumaini, Kanjuiri Ridge Ward, Ol’Kalou Sub-County.
