Njeri H. Njoroge - Chief Officer Environment, Climate Change and Natural Resources

Njeri H. Njoroge is a distinguished professional with a solid Land Economics and Sustainability foundation. As the Chief Officer for Environment, Climate Change & Natural Resources at the County Government of Nyandarua, She is spearheading pivotal initiatives aimed at fostering environmental stewardship and sustainable development. Her strategic leadership and dedication to implementing effective policies are instrumental in aligning the county’s efforts with Vision 2030. Her extensive career includes significant roles at Regent Management Limited, where she served as both Agency & Business Development Manager and Portfolio & Facilities Manager. 

Currently, she is involved in overseeing the smooth operation of various directorates. Her roles encompass the formulation and implementation of directorate plans, human resource management, strategic direction, financial accountability, and stakeholder collaboration. She also serves in key capacities such as Fund Administrator for the Nyandarua County Climate Change Fund,  and also Chairs  the Climate Change Planning Committee.

She is pursuing a Master of Science in Sustainable Urban Development (Water & Sanitation Option) at the University of Nairobi, where she also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Land Economics. She holds other key certifications including EDGE Expert from the International Finance Corporation and Certified Sustainability Professional from the Global Reporting Initiative.
