To uplift the training standards of our VTCs, the County Government of Nyandarua is open to partnering with the National Government through the NYS to develop a memorandum of understanding on expanding and modernizing all the 15 county training facilities, His Excellency Governor (Dr.) Moses Kiarie Badilisha has stated.
Speaking at Leshau VTC, on the last stop of a five-facilities’ visit that started at Njabini to Miharati, Melangine and Kangui, Governor Badilisha assured Cabinet Secretary for Public Service Hon. Moses Kuria, who’s spearheading the partnership framework, of his administration’s commitment to “programs that seek to address skilling and training needs of our people, as well as connecting our youth to the job market.”
Further assuring of his commitment to improving tertiary education in Nyandarua, the County Head noted that his government had set aside Ksh. 25 million as capitation for VTCs, besides other subsidiary support in bursaries and grants.
