Flagging off of Government-subsidized fertilizers at the National Cereals and Produce Board in Ol’Kalou
His Excellency Governor (Dr.) Moses N. Badilisha Kiarie has challenged farmers to harness available soil testing units to tackle soil-related challenges and enhance agricultural production.
In remarks delivered on his behalf by County Executive Committee Member for Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries Hon. Francis Miring’u during the flagging off of Government-subsidized fertilizers at the National Cereals and Produce Board in Ol’Kalou, the Governor also urged farmers to register via USSD code *616*3# to streamline the fertilizer distribution process and eliminate brokers.
Agricultural centers mapped in each of Nyandarua’s 25 wards are expected to facilitate access to fertilizers through an e-voucher system, vastly enhancing service delivery in the sector.
Present was Chief Officer for Agriculture Mr. Francis Wakaba, Chief Executive Officer for the National Biosafety Authority Dr. Roy Mugera and Director in the State Department of Agriculture Mr. Peter Owoko.
