CARE International (Kenya) and the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) are collaborating with His Excellency Governor (Dr.) Moses N. Badilisha Kiarie to enhance co-ordination and implementation of effective policies and legislation to improve the County’s nutrition status.
 
The project also aims at improving food security while contributing to the reduction of malnutrition amongst women of reproductive age and children under five across the County, in line with the Governor’s CHANGE Manifesto.
 
According to Chief Officer for Public Health and Solid Waste Management Ms. Josphine Muiru, the Governor is keen on aligning documents from the consultations with Kenya Nutrition Action Plan’s Key Results Indicators, the 2022 Kenya Demographic Health Survey report findings and Nyandarua’s third County Integrated Development Plan.
