250-tonnes capacity Lanyana Farmers’ Society Limited store unveiled at Subuku Center in Central Ward, Ndaragwa Sub-County

Badilisha Kiare’s agenda of reducing post-harvest losses, enhancing the value of agricultural produce and increasing farmers’ earnings receives a major boost as His Excellency Deputy Governor Mathara Mwangi unveils the over 250-tonnes capacity Lanyana Farmers’ Society Limited store at Subuku Center in Central Ward, Ndaragwa Sub-County

Accompanied by County Executive Committee Members Hon. Francis Miring’u (Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries) and Hon. Samuel Wachira (Water, Environment, Climate Change and Natural Resources), the Deputy Governor announced that the County Government will train the farmers on using the facility and work on supplying 500 crates.
 
He later unveiled Irish potato seeds stores for Karima Co-operative Society in Kwa-Haraka village; a silage chopper and baler machine for Nyala Dairy Co-operative Society and the 3,000 households-capacity Mutara Water In-take Project in Ngamini village.
 
The deputy County head also informed the elderly and other vulnerable residents of Kiandogoro village that they will receive 345 water tanks from the County Government on Monday, each with a capacity of 500 litres.
 
Present was Chief of Staff Mr. Peter Thiari, Chief Officer for Co-operative Development Mr. Charles Nderitu and area Member of the County Assembly Hon. Peter Kagwe.
