Take up sports as among potential sources of employment with highly rewarding returns.
His Excellency Governor (Dr.) Moses Kiarie Badilisha has urged the youth to take up sports as among potential sources of employment with highly rewarding returns.
Speaking this afternoon when he issued sporting kits to 15 football and volleyball teams drawn from Kanjuiri Rudge ward, Governor Badilisha added that already a programme of rehabilitating stadiums at the ward and sub-locational levels is ongoing to ensure that youth have a platform to nurture their sporting skills.
On alcohol control and licensing, the County ahead vowed to weed out all unscrupulous traders who flood the market with substandard and toxic goods as a way of “saving our youth who have been the most targeted and affected in this drugs and substances menace. And that is coming to an end under the new licensing regime we have put in place where we will not even allow operation of bars in the villages and residential areas.”
He was in the company of CECM Hon. Catherine Gitau, area MCA Hon. Thuo Gachino, Chief Officer David Wakaba, and several other leaders.
